  • Hold can approximately 3cm away and spray evenly onto dry hair, concentrating on the roots.
  • Focus on the hairline initially and then section hair as required.
  • Massage and brush thoroughly.

We invited four A’kin Dry Shampoo consumers, Rebecca, Jazlyn, Francisca and Rosemary, to share their review of the product.

How long did you use the product?
Rebecca, Jazlyn and Francisca used it daily for a whole month after giving birth, during their confinement. While Rosemary used the product beyond her confinement, as and when her hair gets oily.

What motivated you to try the product?
All the consumers had the same issue of oily scalp, and they were all told to avoid washing their hair during their confinement month.

“For someone who washes her hair twice a day, I had to find an alternative option to keep my hair feeling fresh during my confinement, that’s when I chanced upon A’kin Dry Shampoo and decided to give it a try,” added Rebecca.

Rosemary also shared, “ My oily hair makes me look unsightly, I was hoping a dry shampoo would be the solution to my oily hair problem.”

How has the product helped you?
All the consumers agreed that the product left their hair feeling fresher and it left a nice scent in their hair.

Rebecca added, “I liked that there was some added volume in my hair.”

Jazlyn also shared, “It was easy to use and not too gritty but I have to be careful on the amount used as it can cause stiffness to the hair.”

Francisca used it to style her hair, “It adds a nice volume and allows me to style my hair easily. However, my hair felt a little dry after using the product, similar to using hairspray.”

Rosemary used it to reduce oil and frizziness in her hair, “There is volume in my hair just by finger combing through my hair. It reduced my hair’s fizziness too.”

What did you not like about the product?
Both Rebecca and Jazlyn felt that there was slight stiffness to their hair after a few uses with no washing. And though Francisca and Rosemary had nothing to dislike about the product, Rosemary wished there was a travel size version to fit in her work bag.

“If sprayed too close to the hair, it will leave a white residue. However, spraying it at a distance and a little at different sections will reduce the white residue.” ~ Jazlyn

Did you have any concerns when using the product?
The main concerns the consumers had was the fear of their hair follicles being blocked with frequent usage.

“I was worried that it would leave a powdery look, but after using it, I have no issues or worries.” ~ Rosemary
