“The 10cm cyst on Cindy's right ovary is approximately the size of a 15-week-old fetus!”
After 2 years of dating, we finally tied the knot in 2017 and started trying for a baby in 2018.
After trying for a while, there was still no baby news, I wanted to find out why, so I tried a DIY Sperm test which allowed me to test my sperm count in the comfort and privacy of my own home. The results came back normal for sperm count but I wanted a more comprehensive result of my sperm quality through a semen analysis. That was when Cindy and I decided to go for a fertility health check together.
We knew that Cindy had irregular periods but we did not expect the news that was coming…
Through the ultrasound scan during our check, the doctor discovered a 10cm cyst on Cindy's right ovary which was initially thought to be poop! That’s approximately the size of a 15-week-old fetus! It came as a shock, as she's had no pain to suggest a growth or tumor. The 10cm cyst was removed before we started trying to conceive again.
We are glad that we went for the check and resolved our 10cm cyst scare. It took a load off our backs to have proper tests confirming that we are both able to conceive. No anxiety of "what ifs".
Today, we are happy to announce that we are currently pregnant and expecting our first baby in March 2020.
